Amsterdam Photo Safari — Terms & Conditions

By booking an Amsterdam Photo Safari photography tour, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Bookings

All tours are subject to guide availability.
A booking is confirmed only when Amsterdam Photo Safari has confirmed your tour date, time and duration and any required payment has been received.
Please check your booking confirmation carefully and contact us promptly if any details are incorrect.

2. Photography Tours

Amsterdam Photo Safari offers Day, Sunrise, Evening and Private Photography Tours.
Routes are not completely fixed. Your guide may adapt the route according to light, weather, crowds, photographic conditions and opportunities on the day.
Specific locations mentioned on our website are examples of places we may photograph and cannot always be guaranteed.

3. Small-Group Tours

Our small-group photography tours are limited to a maximum of three photographing guests.
Anyone receiving photography tuition, including a guest photographing with an iPhone or other smartphone, is considered a photographing guest.
Reduced rates may be available for non-photographing companions.

4. Equipment

You are responsible for bringing and looking after your own photographic equipment and personal belongings.
Tripods may be available to rent on selected tours. iPhone tripod mounts may also be available.
Amsterdam Photo Safari is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal equipment except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

5. Cancellation by the Customer

Photography tours are leisure services booked for a specific date and time. The standard 14-day cooling-off period applicable to many online purchases does not apply to these dated bookings.
If you cancel your tour, the following cancellation charges apply:

More than 14 days before the tour: 25% of the booking price
7–14 days before the tour: 50%
72 hours–7 days before the tour: 75%
Less than 72 hours before the tour or failure to attend: 100%
Cancellation charges reflect guide commitments, administration and the reduced opportunity to accept another booking.

6. Rescheduling

You may request one change of date with at least 72 hours’ notice, subject to guide availability.
Any difference in price resulting from the new tour date, duration or tour type must be paid.
Repeated changes are not guaranteed.

7. Weather

Amsterdam weather can change quickly and photography tours normally continue in light or intermittent rain.
Your guide will adapt the route and photography to the conditions wherever reasonably possible.
If severe weather makes a tour unsafe or genuinely impractical, Amsterdam Photo Safari may rearrange or cancel the tour.
If we cancel your tour and cannot provide a suitable alternative, you may choose another available date or receive a full refund of the amount paid for the tour.
A customer choosing not to attend because they personally dislike the weather forecast does not automatically qualify for a refund.

8. Late Arrival

Please arrive at the agreed meeting point on time.
If you arrive late, the tour may still need to finish at the originally scheduled finishing time. Substantial lateness may result in part or all of the tour being missed.
No refund is normally available for time lost because of late arrival.

9. Sunrise Tour Start Times

Sunrise Photography Tours are scheduled according to the time of sunrise and therefore start at different times throughout the year.
Your exact meeting time and location will be confirmed before the tour.

10. Day Tour Start Times

Day Photography Tours normally begin at 10:00am, although this may occasionally be adjusted according to season and tour duration.
Day Tours should be booked in advance and must normally be arranged no later than the day before the tour.

11. Private Tours

Private Tours offer greater flexibility over route, pace, start time and photographic priorities.
Where agreed in advance, central Amsterdam hotel collection may be available.
Stops for refreshments, food or rest can be incorporated into a Private Tour, but time spent on breaks forms part of the booked tour duration.

12. Guides

We will make every reasonable effort to provide the guide originally scheduled for your tour.
Occasionally circumstances may require us to substitute another suitably experienced photography guide. A change of guide alone does not normally constitute cancellation of the tour.

13. Children and Minors

Children may join selected tours when accompanied by a responsible adult.
Parents or guardians remain responsible for the supervision and safety of children throughout the tour.
Please contact us before booking if younger children will be attending.

14. Travel and Personal Insurance

We strongly recommend that guests arrange appropriate travel and personal insurance.
This should provide suitable cover for circumstances such as illness, injury, travel disruption, cancelled flights, lost or damaged belongings and other events that could prevent you from attending your tour.

15. Personal Safety

Amsterdam is a busy working city with bicycles, roads, waterways, bridges and other everyday urban hazards.
Guests are responsible for following reasonable safety instructions given by their guide and for taking appropriate care while moving through the city.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Subject to applicable law, Amsterdam Photo Safari is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including travel disruption, personal itinerary changes or loss or damage to personal belongings.

17. Photography Results

Photography is affected by weather, light, crowds, individual ability and other conditions outside our control.
While our guides will work to provide the strongest photographic opportunities possible, specific photographs, weather conditions, sunsets, reflections or other natural phenomena cannot be guaranteed.

18. Changes Outside Our Control

Occasionally circumstances outside our reasonable control may require changes to routes, meeting points, times or other aspects of a tour.
Where a significant change is necessary, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
