What can a photographer experience with a local guide that they might miss when exploring Amsterdam on their own?
Where to be—and more importantly, when. Amsterdam is full of incredible locations, but timing is the real secret. We adapt the tour as we go, reaching the right places when the light is at its best. Just like photography itself, timing is everything.
How do you adapt the experience for different cameras, interests and levels of photography experience?
Every camera and lens has its own strengths and limitations. My goal is to help you get the very best from the equipment you already have. By understanding your interests, experience and creative vision, I can suggest techniques that work for you—helping you create the photographs you want to make.

Seeing someone learn something new—and really understand it. It might be seeing light differently or mastering a new technique, but I know it's something they'll take away and keep using long after the tour has finished.
How do you help people capture Amsterdam in a way that feels personal to them?
It starts with a conversation. I get to know what interests you, then shape the tour around that. Someone interested in innovation might enjoy photographing the world's first 3D-printed steel bridge, while someone else may prefer waiting for the perfect moment when the light and a passer-by come together to tell a story.
What do you think makes a photograph memorable?
Emotion. It could be the surprise of a moment captured, the satisfaction of a new understanding unlocked, or the awe of everything coming together just right. Whether the emotion is in the photograph or in the moment itself, those are the images you'll remember.
