"I THINK IT MUST BE THE NETHERLANDS' BEST KEPT SECRET"
Experience the surprising splendour of the Dutch Countryside and encounter a vast array of wildlife
In these series of workshops we head into nature to photograph a wide diversity of animals that make spectacular subjects: bison, deer, falcons, wild horse, owls, kingfishers, woodpeckers, and foxes.
The next tour is on 30th March 2019. 10am - 6pm leaving from Amsterdam. Includes transportation. PRICE €140.
In this months workshop we set out to encounter: FALLOW DEER, KINGFISHERS, WOODPECKERS and RED FOX against the backdrop of the Dutch countryside.
This is a pre scheduled group tour, with up to 8 people, and runs once every month. You can also book this as a private tour (see below).
WHAT TO EXPECT
On this workshop you will be introduced to the following aspects of nature photography:
How to successfully approach and photograph animals in an intimate setting
Camera settings and composition techniques to best capture the animals, birds, and landscape
Tips on how to be technical and creative in this calming yet inspiring setting
Close up photography of plants, insects, flowers and other small animals
This workshop is designed for all levels of amateur photographers
Adrian is a National Geographic cameraman, filming wildlife all over Europe and especially Holland
Ruud is a Dutch Wildlife Photographer, shooting in these locations for many years
These locations are scouted by us regularly, so we know the best places to find the animals in their natural habitat
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Sensible clothes. We won’t be hiking particularly far and neither for long periods but we will be exploring the countryside and some walking will be involved so dress appropriately.
You don’t need any special photography equipment although its nice to have a lens with at least 150mm zoom if you want close ups shots of the animals.
Camera lens. If you decide to rent a lens we recommend budgetcam.nl It is located in Amsterdam North and West. The North site is open until later. They have 200mm, 300mm and above for €20 - €30 per day.
A standard zoom lens is all you need for the landscape photography.
WHERE AND WHEN
30th March 2019 10am - 6pm
Meet outside IBIS hotel, next to Amsterdam Centraal Train Station. As you are facing the station it is to the left of the station. It has a big red sign on it saying IBIS. Google maps link to the meeting place
PLEASE NOTE: Even though we are well experienced in scouting large animals in these areas and are nearly always successful in finding them, there is a chance that we will not see any of the big animals that we hope for.
